Who is behind Tradies Virtual Assistant?
Hi there, I’m Lisa and mother to 7 gorgeous kids, 5 girls and 2 boys.
I am a newly single mum with only 3 children remaining at home and I started Tradies Virtual Assistant from a passion of helping others.
By day I’m currently a Virtual Assistant working full time from home and I have one client whom I work with on site at their office one day per week.
I am available and on call to offer and assist you in your business throughout the day and also the evenings if needed.
I have a goal to build the Virtual Assistant Business as my Client List grows and expand and employ other VA’s to help me so no job becomes too big or small.
I also have my own Online Marketing Business that I work on outside of work hours.
I have been studying the Online Marking Industry and Social Media for 5 years and have a great understanding of how everything works and the strategies it takes to help you as a small business owner or marketer, bring in more customers and sales.
The core of my online business is helping people. I have a passion for teaching and also running workshops and one on one consulting whether it be online or offline.
I love recommending great affiliate products that I use and get results with, am addicted to keeping up with all the changes in Social Media and also love to create graphics.

Tradies Virtual Assistant is NOT just limited to tradesmen, I can offer my services to any small business that needs a helping hand or even Internet Marketers that want to add me to their virtual team.
My focus is the small business tradies because I was married to one for 26 years and know how hard it is for most tradesmen to build up their service business and keep on top of all the bookkeeping unless they have a really efficient wife or girlfriend to help them out.
The Construction Industry has been my background for the last 17 years which makes me qualified to help YOU!
I ran the office and accounts for our own businesses for over 15 years.
At one stage in recent years we owned and operated 3 separate companies, 2 in construction and 1 in retail.
I owned and operated my own retail business for 6 years and managed 5 employees. Although I had an office assistant at this time I had to oversee all the accounting, prepare all our gst and tax returns and manage the payroll and learn all about POS systems, importing products internationally, pricing, stocktaking etc
My passion for helping others and teaching came from this business as I use to teach classes by night to sometimes up to 20 people in one session which really built my confidence in public speaking.
In the meantime I was still running the office and accounting for our two Trade Businesses. For over 12 years we owned a Construction Business where we supplied labour to large construction companies.
Over this period we built our business up to over 40 employees consisting of Foremen, Leading Hands, Carpenters and Labourers.
During this time we had made enough money to start building a secondary business in the Concrete Cutting & Drilling Industry.
We built this business up to a very profitable business and eventually employed a team of 7 concrete cutters & drillers.
This was a very busy time for us, raising our 7 children at the same time. This period really helped me build my skills of multi-tasking, deadlines and having to get things done.
I handled all the administrative duties for these two construction companies ranging from answering the phone, taking bookings, preparing quotations, raising invoices & statements, payroll, preparing gst & tax returns, advertising, all facets of accounting and chasing debtors & overdue invoices.
Two years ago we sold up our businesses and relocated over to Australia from New Zealand.
For the last 1.5 years I have been contracting full time to a Construction Company offering services in Rendering, Tiling & Painting. During this period I was the Accounts Manager basically responsible for all of the office administrative duties and managing accounts payable and receivable, handling all the invoices from contractors, dealing with the large construction companies, emailing, writing letters, chasing debtors and retentions.
At the office they also had a retail factory selling Rendering, Tiling & Painting supplies. I was also responsible for ordering products for the warehouse and retail shop, managing the POS system and serving customers. The bulk of the clientele were tradesmen.
This experience gave me a great knowledge of how things run in Australia (much the same as in NZ) but unfortunately my contract came to an end as the company could no longer afford to keep me on.
This in return gave me a great opportunity to pursue my passion and create Tradies Virtual Assistant.
How can my Internet Marketing Experience assist you?
5 Years ago I stumbled across the Internet Marketing Industry and having a love for technology I met my match.
I quickly became intrigued in learning how to create wordpress websites, social media profiles, niche sites, email marketing campaigns, newsletters and much more.
I studied affiliate marketing, network marketing and started attending networking events and workshops. This experience has given me more confidence in creating audio and video. Creating graphics and editing images is another passion of mine.
I’ve also learnt about content management, blogging and SEO.
Although I can’t promise to know everything, I do have a great concept of how everything works in terms of leveraging the internet to generate more leads, customers and sales online and I know I have many skills to offer you and your business.
I am friendly and have a very approachable manner. I have confidence speaking on the phone and am basically here as your very own personal assistant that can help you in most facets of your business to lend a helping hand so you can concentrate of producing more profits in your business and focusing on what you do best!
